Business Analytics and Management Reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Work with senior team towards preparation of pitch decks for fund raising, financial research, industry research and other analyses
- Perform market research, build company profiles and teasers for M&A and fund raising deal scenarios
- Work on whitepapers, articles and internal knowledge base
- Organize meetings, support with follow-ups and support different
stakeholders of a live project - Undergo training modules in spare time and proactively take up different projects
Candidate Requirements
- This role gives a roadmap to a full time position in 1-2 months based on performance reviews – so fully qualified candidates will be preferred
- CA / MBA Finance. Other Masters can apply based on sufficient grasp of financial concepts
- Freshers can apply. Previous internship / project experience will be preferred

Financial Analysis and Research
Key Responsibilities
- Building detailed Information Memorandum, Investor Presentation, Project Reports and Investment Specific Documentation
- Performing industry research and creating sector analysis
- Financial modeling for equity and debt investment scenarios, Structured finance and turnaround modeling – creating 3 financial statements, model scenarios and performing sensitivity analysis
- Undertaking valuation of companies, assets, divisions, etc. through methods such as DCF, comparable companies’ analysis, precedent transaction analysis, SOTP based valuation, etc.
- Undertaking other financial analysis assignments such as financial / operational benchmarking, earnings modeling, equity research, etc. as required
- Work with senior team towards preparation of pitch decks for fund raising, financial research, industry research and other analyses

Candidate Requirements

Financial Analysis and Research
Key Responsibilities
A. Leadership & Planning:
- Based on client objectives, develop the internal audit scope, plan and timelines as well as commercial proposals
- Maintaining open communication with accounting team, management (bridge)
- Draft and present reports that reflect audit’s results
- Mapping of the data-entry, book-keeping, data-analysis processes including roles of various people in the team
- Team management, setting up replicable audit processes for the team, training and mentoring the team
B. Execution / Client-Field Work:
- BOOK-KEEPING, ACCOUNTING, COSTING
- Review of end-to-end book-keeping to Trial Balance to preparation of Financial Statements to management reports (MIS) including various additional data sources
- Review of functions like Sales, Collections & AR/AP, Operations & Logistics, BD & Marketing, Human Resources, Compliance, Training etc.
- Obtain, analyse and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts etc
- Actual review of ledgers (ledger scrutiny), sample testing, data-entry process including (maker-checker system), subsidiary books vs. GLs, internal controls, checks & reconciliation processes etc
- Review of new ledgers created, backdated entries, adhering to entering data in correct entities, branches, ledgers and cost centres
- Evaluating the closing process (Evaluating calculations of closing JV entries like accruing / deferment of revenues and expenses for comprehensiveness, accuracy, consistency etc, ensuring the impact of accounting entries)
- Understanding larger objectives of the management & investors (such as operating & financial ratios, profitability margins and returns, cash flow, working capital cycle etc)
- Review of the compliance processes (such as TDS, GST calculations, filing, payments etc)
- Evaluating, correcting cost centres, Bill of materials (BOM), cost allocation and apportionment methodology etc.
- ACTUAL DATA ANALYSIS, GUIDANCE ON DATA PREPARATION
- Evaluating data models, guiding on maintenance of transaction tables & master tables, and designing / redesigning of masters
- Data preparation, based data analysis, working with BI systems, identifying trends, outliers, errors in data, guidance on proper course-correction / process remap
- Identifying gaps and loopholes in data-entry (digitalization)
- guiding on revision of formats in MS Excel or Google Sheet environment
- Guidance on best practices, propose practical and value-added recommendations to address control weaknesses and / or process inefficiencies
- Participate in closing meetings with client at the end of fieldwork, providing clear explanations for identified issues
Candidate Requirements
- EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
- Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years of proven work experience (in the above areas) across diverse industries such as services, manufacturing, technology, retail / trading, construction & infrastructure, financial services etc.
- Preferably worked in a Big 4 International firm or larger domestic internal audit firms
- Additional Qualification Preferred: MBA (Majors in Data Science, Finance) or MSc (Finance / Control) or Certified Internal Auditor or CIMA
- COMFORT WITH SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS
- Tally, QuickBooks, PowerBI, MS Excel, Pivot Tables (PowerPivots), Google sheets, additional knowledge of ERP like SAP etc preferred
